Oak + Olive Charcuterie is a locally owned premium catering company specializing in handcrafted charcuterie experiences, grazing tables, corporate catering, and elevated events throughout Yellowknife.
 

We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and motivated individual to join our growing team. This is more than just a part-time position—we're looking for someone who wants to build a career alongside a growing local business.
 

As Oak + Olive continues to expand, there will be opportunities for increased hours, additional responsibilities, and the potential to grow into a full-time leadership or management role.

 

About the Role

No two days are the same! You'll be involved in every stage of creating exceptional client experiences—from preparing beautiful charcuterie displays to setting up catered events throughout the city.

Working closely with the owner, you'll gain experience in catering operations while helping maintain the high standards Oak + Olive is known for.
 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation

  • Create premium charcuterie boards, boxes, and grazing tables

  • Package and organize customer orders

  • Assist with deliveries using a company vehicle

  • Set up and tear down catering and special events

  • Provide exceptional customer service during events

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen

  • Assist with inventory, ordering, stocking, and organization

  • Support daily business operations as Oak + Olive continues to grow

  • Represent Oak + Olive professionally at client homes, businesses, and event venues
     

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

Qualifications | Required

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Clean driver's abstract

  • Comfortable driving a company vehicle

  • Current Food Safe certification

  • Current Serving It Right (or recognized equivalent) certification

  • Legally eligible to serve alcohol in the Northwest Territories

  • Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods

Assets

  • Restaurant, catering, hospitality, or commercial kitchen experience

  • Experience with food presentation or event setup

  • Customer service experience

Schedule

  • Part-time (approximately 15–25 hours per week)

  • Primarily weekday mornings and daytime shifts

  • Occasional evenings and weekends for catered events

  • Additional hours available during busy seasons

Compensation & Benefits

  • $23–$27 per hour, depending on experience

Hiring Process

The successful candidate will begin with a 90-day probationary period.
